MoreGamers.com have now launched a brand new cross promotion banner exchange network, dedicated to mobile gaming app developers.
The new service allows developers to benefit from the use of cross promotion as a tool for promoting mobile games to smartphone and tablet users. Independent game developers are encouraged to make the most of space in their games that is currently unused to promote either their new games that they have created or the best game from their existing pool of games. The service is completely free of charge to use, and offers an additional way to generate revenue on top of existing in-game advertising, download fees and in-game purchases.
The cross promotion network is designed not to replace existing income generation methods like interstitials or in-game purchases, but to work alongside them to help developers increase their downloads and thus additional revenue. More Gamers has listed here the various locations that currently go un-monetized in most games where their cross promotion banners can be placed www.MoreGamers.com/samples.php. The service from MoreGamers.com is proven to have very high click through rates compared with industry averages on banner ads (More Gamers users on average have a 10% ctr) – which also leads to very high conversion rates.
MoreGamers.com offer a wide variety of SDKs which are compatible with a range of different game designs. Once the relevant SDK has been implemented into your game or games, in-game advertisements will be loaded and shown to game users. Each developer earns advertising credits, the number of which is determined by the number of ad impressions and clicks as a result of their games. Once an advertising credit has been earned, developers will then find that their own games are eligible to be promoted by other games that are registered within the network. At this stage, the developer’s own games will be promoted within other games from other developers.
The whole service is completely free to use, and is relied on by many large game developers to ensure that their releases remain at the top of the download charts.
The new www.MoreGamers.com service supports cross promotion via the Google Play, Apple, Windows and Amazon app stores.
Says a company spokesperson for MoreGamers.com, “We are very excited to have launched our brand new cross promotion banner exchange network, which allows game developers to work together to increase the number of downloads of their games without taking away any existing adverts that generate income. Our service is the first dedicated mobile game banner exchange service, which is set to remove the dominance of a handful of studios from the top app charts. 90% of the top 25 studios whose games collectively receive 50% of the downloads and revenue from the app store use Cross Promotion in their arsenal to stay on top.”

Question from M.L (potential member)
sounds interesting. I’m about to sign up and check it out. My first question is’how do you make money?’ It’s not mentioned in your promo video. So do I have to pay after a while, or can I but extra ads?
Thanks and best regards, M.L.
Well first of all I’m glad you like what you see and look forward to having you on board. To answer your question directly. We have 2 plans to make money.
- We state on our front page and FAQ section that we keep a small percentage of ad credits from all users ourselves, this is the pay for the upkeep and costs pertaining to offering this free service. At the moment these credits are being circulated through a few of our very early members. These members were there from day one, who bought into the concept and have since then supported us by using our system in hundreds of their multi million time downloaded games. They have made enough games available from the very get go on all 4 of the major platforms to ensure we have enough inventory of games not to bore end users. Think of it as the chicken and egg scenario. We needed them even for the very first public member to signup and effectively use our service.
- In the future whilst still keeping the free cross promotion banner exchange option available for anyone who would like to use it. We will introduce the option to sell a percentage of this inventory. It will be entirely up to our users if they would like to sell 0%, 10%, 20%, 60% or 100% of their inventory. Different developers have different aims and priorities and we have already been inundated with advertisers as well as our own members constantly inquiring if they can purchase ads from us. This demand is there due to the very high ctr and click to download ratio we generate, as we are a targeted games only network.
Hope that answers your concern.

I already have my own private network referral service running.
I am however interested in learning more about your general cross promotion service. From analyzing what you put up on your site it would seem your system is heavily skewed to popular games. So small games with few users and slow growth would mostly just be showing other peoples games and not showing up elsewhere on the network with much promotion at all. Which honestly as a small developer sounds like a great way to loose what users I do gain. Unless your service offers parity advertising (1 show of someone else’s advert == 1 show of mine) I can’t make the math work out how this would be a good investment for me and my company (we have shipped a dozen games this year alone.)
I’m interested in learning more about your service, but unless the math works out I will not be able to work with y’all.
We don’t consider any publisher small.. you never know when one of your games gets picked up by a stranger and shoots up the charts. We rather make peace with everyone
That said.. the 1:1 ratio of business is very much open to cheaters. We have a model that is very close to that in ratio but utilizes a 10:XX ratio. XX varies but is never more than 20%…often far less than this. We have 18 methods of checking for cheaters in our public network. We publicly do not discuss these 18 factors as these we consider trade secrets.
We offer all users the ability to convert their account into a Private Network by simply ticking one box. This way, you advertise no other members and only your own games within your games.
I don’t believe cross promotion is a bad thing, otherwise I would have not worked for MoreGamers.com for the past 11 years… Your users are not trapped inside of your game and are free to exit and uninstall your game whenever. Atleast with cross promotion you are giving yourself a fighting chance of directing those users onto another one of your games… or getting a new user in exchange from another one of our members…
Hope my answer disperses some of your worries regarding cross promotion.
We understand that one must move with the times… so after more than 10 years. We have finally retired our old logo and began to make use of the new logo. Hope you agree with our choice and decision.
More Gamers does not pay for displaying ads in your games. But rather in return we advertise your games in our other members games.
We encourage game developers to use their in-game banner opportunities to increase their overall game downloads, by using our cross promotion network.
Whilst monetizing their games with much more lucrative full page interstitial ads and in game purchases.
More Gamers does not pay for ads displayed inside your games. Rather we encourage developers to utilize in-game banner opportunities to increase downloads using our cross promotion network.
Generating revenue by implementing full page interstitial ads which often yield cpm’s 20x that of traditional in-game banners. As well as offering in game purchases.
The two ad sizes we offer were selected after having researched and implementing 43 different ad sizes in over 60 live games. These two ad sizes triumphed because of their versatility across many different devices, mobiles and tablets. As well as offering many display opportunities within almost any in game screen, landscape or portrait.
That maybe the case… but often from our own experience derived by publishing hundreds of games. We have learned that the cpm rate of in-game banner ads is often a 20th of the average cpm of interstitial ads. So we encourage developers to use our network to bolster downloads and use interstitials and in game purchases to monetise their games.
Once our SDK has successfully been implemented into your games, we load and show in-game advertisements. You earn advertising credits for promoting games by other developers based on ad impressions and clicks. When you have earned sufficient advertising credits, your games automatically become eligible to be promoted by other games registered within our cross promotion network. Your advertising credits are then used to promote your game in other games.
